Within the past month we have become increasingly aware of the importance of blood and bone marrow donations. Since starting his treatment, Mike has needed 15 units of blood to keep up his strength. He is still searching for a bone marrow match.
On Saturday, April 28th from 9.00 – 2.00 p.m. there will be a blood drive in Mike’s honor. It will be held at:
St. Elizabeth’s Church
700 Wyckoff Avenue
700 Wyckoff Avenue
Wyckoff, NJ 07481
A representative from the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry will be in attendance. If you would like to become a potential bone marrow donor, a quick mouth swab sample can be taken.
Mike is hoping to be present for the blood drive on the 28th, however this will depend on how he feels after a second round of treatment on the 23rd.
Please consider coming out on April 28th. Your donation will help change the life of someone in need.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Sending HUGS and PRAYERS to you, Mike, and your loving family!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Mike,
ReplyDeleteI know it was probably difficult for you to attend the blood drive after just getting out of the hospital but it really got through to my girls who were attending the snack table. They were able to put a face on the cause of helping someone's Daddy. I'm sure this will affect them for the rest of their lives and volunteer more often. Be well. As you saw today, many hearts and prayers are with you and your family. (your son really enjoyed those donuts!!! LOL)
